Here are the associations that we belong to. You will
find educational information on their websites, and
worthwhile support for new breeders through the associations.
Alpaca Owners and Breeders
Association - National marketing, education, and
show association.
ARI (Alpaca
Registry Inc.) - Alpaca Registry, Inc. (ARI), headquartered
in Lincoln, Nebraska, is the largest alpaca pedigree
registry in the world. Using advanced DNA technology,
ARI validates the parentage of alpacas submitted for
pedigree registration.
Alpaca
Breeders of Arizona - ABA is a regional alpaca organization
serving current Arizona alpaca owners and anyone interested
in joining the alpaca lifestyle. We hold monthly meetings,
do a fiber pool, sponsor educational activities, and
generally support each other in a friendly community
of alpaca owners.
AOBA
Show Division - The AOBA Show Division was formed
to provide a show system organized and managed by alpaca
people for alpaca owners, meeting the specific requirements
of the alpaca community.
SWRAS
(Southwest Regional Alpaca Show) - Come and see
the cute alpacas strut their stuff in the show ring.
Visit the display stalls to learn more about alpacas,
alpaca fiber carding, spinning, and shop with our vendors
for great alpaca products. An alpaca show is a great
family outing!
ARF
(Alpaca Research Foundation) - The mission of the
Alpaca Research Foundation is to encourage and support
scientific research which benefits the North American
alpaca industry, primarily in the areas of alpaca health,
husbandry, genetics and fiber.
